As we edge closer to 2020 and a new season with Methven F.C we take a moment to look back on the past year and what has been another glorious campaign and vast progression commercially as a club on the whole. 2019 Kicked off with 4 of our players representing the club in the charity 'Swimathon'

A month later we were hosting and winning our very first tournament, 'Methven Supervalue Cup'

Over the course of the year we have raised some much needed revenue through our proud sponsors 'Crossroads' and other club organised fund raisers such as Bin it to Win it, Prize Raffle draws, Quiz Night, Fantasy Football and a Private Cinema Viewing, hosted by 'Cinema Paradiso'

Players, committee members, parents and volunteers have worked tirelessly to help the club move forward and maintain its constant progression through a sometimes grueling season.

On the pitch our boys have represented Methven F.C outstandingly and back to back promotions now see the Senior first team in division 2 for our next campaign.

​

However the season wasn't all plain sailing as the opening match ended with defeat and many key players were unavailable during the first couple of months. Despite all this the lads pulled together and found their rhythm with the aid of newly promoted youth players such as Tummerhang Limbu, Josh Burrows, accompanied by new signings Nicholas Eden and Dominic Wilson-Knight. By the end of the league season, Methven F.C had the championship wrapped up with games to spare, along with a cup double defaulted to the Mountaineers to boot.

All in all it's been one hell of a 2019 for the club and the bar has been set but will almost certainly be needed to be raised yet again as we embark on our 2020 season. expect much of the same and much much more as we strive to improve the clubs facilities, continue our youth development and hopefully continue our good fortunes on the pitch.
