Changing of the Guard
After 2 glorious years in charge, Martin O.J Dodson has decided to step down as Methven Football Club President. Often referred to as the Godfather of New Zealand Football, Dodson has overseen the dramatic transition from small town amateur football side to league topping semi professional dynamo's. Not only that but he has devoted practically all of his spare time to the development and progression from youth to senior level, incorporating team work and the secret ingredient of fun. This lovable man's astute leadership has really put Methven F.C on the map and he has already put plans in place for continued development, sealing a deal to purchase the teams very own club rooms.
However as the sun sets on his time, we welcome a new dawn under the newly elected, Rowan Smithers as the clubs new President. Dodson will still maintain an active roll but it will be Smithers who will have the final say as we move into a new era. Everyone involved with the club would like to thank O.J for all his efforts over the years and we look forward to the end of the season in 2020 when he will be inducted into the hall of fame. For now we wish Rowan Smithers all the best and we are all behind him to become a fantastic successor.

Come On Methven!!
